Abstract
A Zn2SiO4:Mn2+ phosphor was synthesized using SiOx as an antioxidizing reagent of Mn2+. The phosphor was efficiently excited by near UV light in a range of 220 - 350 nm, and emitted a green light around 525 nm. The sample showed green emission about 1.2 times higher than that of the one synthesized by a conventional solid state reaction method.
